New, Cheap Skincare Brand: The Ordinary

Many people who have skincare problems have searched for years to find something to help their suffering skin. One lady, whose name we are unable to give, tells us that she has had a bad case of acne for 10 years now, and spent thousands of pounds on expensive skincare products. She had just begun to give up hope, when scrolling through skincare reviews she heard of a shop called The Ordinary. She looked it up online and found that there was a shop near her in Covent Garden, and also some stands in her local House of Fraser. She visited the shop with her teen daughter soon after, and tried some products that she wanted to give a go. Several months on, after she let her body adapt to these products, here is what she says:

“I can quite honestly say it has transformed my skin. I have always bought expensive skin care in the past, and have had acne for ten years, but nothing has helped until I discovered the Ordinary. It is amazing, and at such a low price point that you can really experiment and find what suits your own skin.”

She continued on to say: “I don't really know about the anti-aging stuff, as the only one I tried (retinol) I got an allergic reaction to, but within weeks of using azelaic acid my acne had disappeared! It was really like a miracle. I also use things like hyaluronic acid, which plumps up my skin and stops it getting dry, and rose hip oil which moisturises it before bed. It is all very soothing and makes me feel like I am pampering myself.”

Most of The Ordinary is concerned with skin care, but they also have a range of foundations.

“What I like about these is that the colours are classed not only by how light or dark they are, as most foundations, but also each shade comes in yellow or pink formulations, so it is very easy to find your own colour. For £5, this foundation looks better on me and gives me better coverage while still looking as if I am wearing no makeup.” Many people are big fans of this shop, including influencers on YouTube such as Wayne Goss, and more minor ones such as RaysDays, who describes ‘The Ordinary’ as “suitable for literally everyone.' One of the reason why The Ordinary has taken off with so many people is because of its price. With each product priced around £5, the skincare products and foundations have gained fast popularity. If anyone reading this now has skincare problems, or would like an effective matte foundation, take a visit to The Ordinary!
